  • Should the Pee Wee teams be competitive?

  • Four years ago Oatka started the Pee Wee level of play. This division was a spinoff from the freshman level that used to include the 7 and 8 year olds.
The Pee Wee divison was started because the League wanted to provide an opportunity for all players to play a significant amount of time and also to provide a division where children could be introduced to the fundamentals of the game. To insure the playing time and instructional level, this division was made non-competitive, with no scores or standings being recorded.
Since the inception, some in league contend that the players keep score themselves and they know who wins or loses the game, therefore the league should just recoganize the Pee Wees as competitive. Tell us what you think. Also, you can go the the League forum and participate in a bulletin borad discussion on this topic
