Older News

   In 2006 there was a major overhaul of ages and weights that set OATKA a part from any league in WNY. 

* Pee-wee is now open to 6 yr olds.

* The retained older lighter has been eliminated. More attention will be placed on keeping kids playing with kids closer in age.

* To compensate for the loss of the older retained player, weights have been slightly increased.  We look at this now as "younger...but  heavier!!!"

* The traditional OATKA Varsity division now ends at age 13u and 155 lbs. This division now mirrors most modified programs in WNY, except we won't have 100 kids on a team.  

* A new optional Super Varsity division has been added for any organization in WNY that has a need. This division will be available to organizations outside of OATKA.  

2007 OATKA Divisions

* Optional OATKA division open to any organization wishing to bring in a team comprised of boys under 15u.

Any organization wishing to bring in a Super Varsity team should contact President Kevin Slomba.
